Casio Exilim Camera - Best Shot Button doesn't work

The best shot button on my Casio Exilim 10.1 mega pixel camera just stop working.  The camera is now 'stuck' on snapshot.

I tried the reset from the camera's software but that didn't correct it.

I called Casio and they suggest mailing to them to fix at 'some cost' to me.

Anyone know how to correct this?  Is there a 'physical' reboot or reset of this camera I can try?

While without examining the camera, it's hard to be sure, this sounds like a hardware failure. There's no reset for this camera outside of the software reset, although you could try leaving it without batteries for some period of time.

Otherwise, I recommend sending it to Casio. It's still a decent camera, and often they can examine it and provide the repair estimate prior to actually making the repairs.

    Assisted Solution

Casio can examine it and provide the repair estimate prior to actually making the repairs.
But they will charge a fee for this around $30
I have same camera, theres no reset button.
Sometimes humidity affects cameras circuit, try leaving it with no battery in dry place.
Otherwise replacement will be cheaper than repair.
