what is the default goldmine user and pass that would have master rights GM6.0
i found this thread but i dont know who the master account is and i need to change the path for my contact databases
If you're using GoldMine dBase (as per your post) there are no paths to set in the BDE.
At the point you describe above, right-click | Properties, and edit as needed.
GoldMine tracks 4 paths:
.exe path -- just as it implies, the location of the exe
System files -- normally the same as the .exe, though it doesn't have to be. This is where your ini files, licesne.dbf, and a few other "central" system-related files are stored
GoldMine files -- normally a \gmbase subfolder underneath your System files
Contact files -- \common underneath your system files (Common is the default -- it could also be your company name, i.e. \xyzabc)
To see all of these see Help | About | System.
To set these paths, logon with master rights and go to Edit | Preferences | Login
You can also set these paths manually in the gm.ini file, which should be in the same path as the gmw6.exe file.
