I am upgrading my company's Asterisk server to 1.6 to take advantage of some of the new features, but I am having trouble trying to get an app for detecting faxes.  We currently use nvfaxdetect with Asterisk 1.4, but I am having trouble finding a version ported for Asterisk 1.6 or porting it myself.  Can anyone assist in providing either a nvfaxdetect port that will work with Asterisk 1.6 or some alternatives with similar functionality?  I have rxfax and txfax installed and functional, I just haven't been able to get Asterisk to detect the faxes coming in.

NVFax is Newman Telecom FAX Detection - it relies on Zaptel for it's detection.  Zaptel is NOT an option in Asterisk 1.6 - only DAHDI - I am also looking for an answer to this question, but this post is no answer at all.
