rus in exchange 2007

in my company we use exchange 2007 server.I tried to setup unified messaging.I had started cd setup in order to apply unified server role in me exchange but in setup progress its stops with an error warning me that "Cannot Find recipients Service for my domain".i Tried to find in Search engines how to setup RUS but everybody says exchange 2007 dont use RUS any more..Can someone tell me how to solve my problem??
What are te step i must do,,,

Can you update the exact error which is been mentioned on the ExchangeSetupLog or attach the exchangesetuplog to look into suggest you the resolution.

Do you still have Exchange 2003 server? Or, did you not remove the exchange 2003 boxes properly after migration?

As per the error... it seems that you have an exchange 2003 server. whats the service pack on it. make sure it has Service pack 2 installed.

thats the point..it has never been setuped in that machine exchange 2003 ....

yes never..the machines are new the programs have been setuped for first time.....i am so confused...i have downloaded service pack 2 for 2003 and tried to run it..but nothing...incompatible.....i canot understand....
