Does Cocoa use MVC?

Does Cocoa (Mac desktop) programming use an MVC just like iPhone programming?

Microsoft .NET apps have many design patterns and there is no one way to create them, as there is with Cocoa and Cocoa Touch (iPhone) apps.   Is that strictly true or do Mac/iPhone apps follow other patterns?

I'm not sure I can answer your question fully, but cocoa is definitely built around the MVC design patterns and the tools apple provide for development work well with the MVC paradigm.
