I have a terminal server with around 30 users. We also have a sonicwall with content filtering enabled.  While using the viewpoint software I get a list of sites that were blocked by user.  The user displays the ip address of the terminal server.  How can I pinpoint the username on the server that attempted to access the restricted site.  I imagine it would take software loaded on the server that could examine the browsing history or internet cache and provide me with a report by user name.

Hi, yes this would take some sort of content filtering engine or a combo of proxy and content filtering, as MS does not inherently have this ability.

There may be a number of free utilities out there that you can use from http://www.download.com that will allow you to do what you are asking within the TS sessions (Parse the temporary internet files location for EACH user under EACH profile: C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5) .

I am using a product call surfcontrol which is basically the same as websense.  Anything that goes through our ISA server (Proxy) will get tracked and inserted into the database for monitoring, tracking or even blocking.
