Everytime i try to run a maintenance job i get the following error thrown, This error happens regardless of the type of job.

I've set the SQL agent to run as the system administrator and i've just installed SQL service pack 3 - however both no joy.

I know it implys to permissions however the user that runs the SQL service agent has both administrator access and backup operator .

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

the error message describes that you are using a connection to a server that the user under wich  the the job runs has not enough permissions. Check the user has both login rights and database rights correctly.
