This seems like a really easy to make and useful piece of software.  I cannot find this (at least with my initial search).  Has anyone heard of a free program that build your rss xml for you?

Thanks

Please give us a little more context. For example, where does the original published content come from?  The software is, as you expect, quite easy to develop (I have several samples from my own clients) and its data sources are all over the map.  Some clients publish RSS feeds when they add PDF newsletters to a directory,  Other do Podcasting, etc.  It seems me that the source data is the important part.

If you want to see any PHP samples, I would be glad to post one for you.

Best, ~Ray

Thanks for responding to my question.

I am looking for a stand alone Windows application that lets me edit the rss feed.

I am imagining a tool that might have two tabs: 1.) Allows entry of info about the feed itself and 2.) shows a data table of all the info about each item in the feed (where you can add, delete, or update rows in this table.

It just seems like this would be such a simple thing to do that someone would have done it already (but i am not sure how to find it)

Thanks,

David

Have you considered just using a text editor?  RSS is such a simple subset of XML, that anything like Notepad would be able to do the job pretty easily.  Sorry I do not know of a standalone windows application.  But you might want to ask the moderators to change the zones for this question.  Since it is in iPod and RSS, but not in anything related to Windows, you may not be getting the attention of someone who would know the answer you're looking for.

Bdest of luck, ~Ray
