Hi !

When I try to print a message in Outlook, I get an error message saying "Unable to save the print settings. Make sure the file C:\User\Hans\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook\OutlPrint exists and can be written on."

I followed the solution thread given at 25/03/04 08:50 AM, ID: 10678722 ;
Hkey_Current_User/Software/Microsoft/Office/8.0/Outlook/Printing

However came only as far as 8.0 > Outlook  .....and could then not find "Printing" .
So...why is that and what do I do now to solve the problem ?

Also...I wonder if anyone can tell me why this  "unable to save the print setting..." error occurs ?

Grateful for help !

First check you have the latest SP:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=b444bf18-79ea-46c6-8a81-9db49b4ab6e5&displaylang=en

Are you logged onto the PC as one user but using another User Outlook Profile?

Are you printing to a Local Printer or a Network Printer?

If a local printer check your Default printer and that its installed and working correctly.

If a network printer check that its online and working.

Have you been able to print before? Has this just recently started to happen?

If on a network, and this issue only recently started to happen, guessing you have tried restarting the PC?

Thanks a lot  - getting the latest SP solved the problem.!
Really appreciate your help !

However, I don't understand why this download did not come up when I am set on Microsoft automatic updates. Can anyone explain ?

All the best !
