Automate Exchange account creation

Is it possible to automatically create an Exchange account after the AD account is created?  Also is it possible to specify which mailbox the account gets created on.

Version information would be good here.

If you are using Exchange 2003, then ADUC with a system that has Exchange 2003 tools installed will do it for you.
For Exchange 2007 you will need to use EMC to create the account or run some kind of script to mail enable users.

The best way would be to use EMC on Exchange 2007. That will allow you to create the account at the same time.
Otherwise to do it one step you would need to write a script (which is basically what EMC does) which prompts for the information and then creates the account. Using ADUC is not possible in any shape or form to create the account and mailbox in one hit.

I currently use EMC to create the accounts.  I'm just wondering if it can be created in AD and automatically be created in Exchange witht the option to choose the mailbox for the account to reside in.

As I wrote above - no.
You cannot use ADUC to create mailboxes at the same time with Exchange 2007. Mailboxes can only be mail enabled either with PowerShell or the management console.
