Tracking in FLV Player

I am wondering what is the best way to track video viewance as in time they view it, if they click on volume etc within a flv player.  We have used google analytics in the past and can integrate some of the tracking that way through their new flash tracking  but i am just wondering if anyone has other or better ideas.  We stream the videos from a dedicated offsite ip address streaming service, in case that is a factor, but we can make our own flv players if we need to just have to include the rtmp path to the file.  Any thoughts would be a appreciated.

If you are streaming the video, and you are using Akamai or some other CDN, they have analytical tools that you can run reports on just like Omniture, Webtrends, or any other big name tracking company.  You should check into what your streaming service provider has for that.  They should have this ability.

If this is not the case, then I believe you would want to setup a system that makes a call to google analytics at 20% intervals...  this can be done using the netstream onData event handler... unless my memory is completely wrong  :)

Let me know if you need help with anything...
