Can't say if we can assist you on this one Lynclinprac, it's really between you and the manufacturer.
If the setup disc does not have a key printed onit or automatically regesters via the actual setup disc as some software hold the key in the setup disc installation.
if there is no key on the envelope or case don't know how these people regester their products.
Did you get a guide with it?
reboot ?

http://www.summitsoftcorp.com/support.asp..led to the powerpoint label.....clicked...for 1.6 upgrade...
Followed instructions.....

·      Close Microsoft PowerPoint ·      Open Task Manager (Control + Alt =Delete Keys at the same time) ·      Click the Processes tab ·      Highlight the process of POWERPNT.EXE in list of processes ·      Click the End Process button, ·      Click Yes to the Task Manager Warning STEP 2·      Run the PowerSlidesUpdate.exe that was downloaded. ·      Follow the directions on the installer. ·      After the installer finishes, you can run Microsoft PowerPoint

This worked...what a process... An email support answer would have been appreciated. I tried Serif and summit.
Thank you.

Hello Merete, Just an update. re Powerslides

The templates will not open.. the message comes up 'Path not found'.
The background choices come up but whenI select any I read, run time error '76' or runtime error '440'.
Honestly I give up.
 I have emailed to 'Support@SummitsoftCorp.com <Support@SummitsoftCorp.com>'
again.

2nd assistance from support =  download powerslides through a slightly different link, reinstall that and the upgrade 1.6 again.
Successful.
