Email bouncing back

All the mails sent to this particular user is bouncing back but I am recieving mails from this user.

What if you reply to one of his emails? Are you sending the email just to this user?

The email address on the envelope is incorrect - contact the person and obtain the correct address

The email address is correct we are recieving mails from him.

You are unable to reply to his reply to address. A user can have a different reply to address - i've seen that before.

To confirm, are you able to send emails to that address via another email system, such as hotmail?

hotmail and yahoo is working fine. for the time being they are sending mails through yahoo
Can you check to see if your domain is on any RBLs?

Try this web form...

this "The recipient's e-mail address was not found in the recipient's e-mail system" indicates a problem with the address you are sending to

try this - delete the .rk2 file on a problematic machine and try send again (this file holds the cached addressing information - it is possible that you have outdated information in the address cache)

I've tried telnetting to port 25 of this machine and it is refusing to accept the basic helo or ehlo commands

in fact it is not accepting any comands at all

there is something wrong at their end

But I tried telneting port 25, see the attachment for the output.
I could not make out the issue.

I got that far myself

now try issuing a helo or ehlo command to that machine - simply being able to connect and get the esmtp header isn't enough of a diagnostic

when I tried this morning it was giving me errors after every keystroke - it wasn't waiting for a carriage return

to clarify - a properly running smtp server will answer to either helo or ehlo after producing the smtp or esmtp header with helo %your_domain_name_here%

it will look like this

in command prompt it is showing 'ehlo is not  recong as internal or external command'

then you have discovered what I have been telling you - the problem lies at the receiver's end
try helo - you will receive the same responce

then there is something problematic between my location and .sa - I cannot get their system to respond to my like that at all - everything I see points to a problem at their end

can you do a RCPT TO: hoad@uicpaint.com from the telnet session?

you forgot the space between the : and address
