hi I suspect a few of my users profile on TS is corrupted and so I would like to correct this problem. Do you think deleting the ntuser.dat would to the job or I should rather rename the whole user profile? I would like to avoid causing any data loose or making them unable to run any applications they run at the moment
many thanks

In the profile there are only user settings like IE settings or Office settings. When you delete a profile all user settings or history from applications will be lost.
When a user logs in and have no profile, the new profile will be made from a default profile and will be saved when the user logs out. The user must make all settings again. The best way is to take ownership on the profile (is also needed for deleting) and rename the profile. When the new profile is made (user logs in and out) then copy shortcuts and favorits in the new profile. Then delete the renamed profile when the user doesn't need it anymore.
