Cannot connect to Dell Powerconnect 3348 console...
I have a Dell Powerconnect 3348 switch. I connected to the web interface and changed all ports to a different vlan. Thereafter I could no longer connect to the web interface. I connected a null modem cable to the switch and various computers but cannot connec to the console of the switch. I have found documentation on the switch and tried various settings but cannot connect. Please Help!

i tried to recycle the switch with the console cable connected. i have the console set exactly as in the documentation. no characters appear on the screen. i have multiple null modem cables so it isnt the cable. i cant connect with console not the web interface.

Yesterday the Web Interface would not even come up, today it magically appeared! I can log in to web interface but not console. For the points can you explain how to set up VLANS? I have a set of VMware servers that I want to seperate from all but 5 internal pc's. Those 5 must be on both VLANS. Dell Powerconnect 3348 switch.

Otherwise, check your com1 settings in hypterminal
Try 9600-8-N-1 with No Flow Control
Set the Emulation to VT100
You may try to power cycle the switch after you've connected to see if it helps
