Xlink cluster replica database replication fails to start MSSQL 2000 server service gives error 1053

MSSQL 2000 server Service failed to start. Gives me the following error


I am using Xlink Cluster Replica application in which The MSSQL database is Replicated between the Replica Master Station to Replica Member after the database replication is syncronized. I stop the xlink cluster application services. When i start the MSSQL server Service on the Replica Member station it fails to start an gives me error 1053

Could not start the MSSQLServer service on local computer.
Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

You will need to install HOTFIX for solution to this problem.

The problem was resolved by reinstalling MSSQL 2000 on the member server. and disabling replication of the registry keys
