I have a dropdown list which I am binding a dataset that holds sql query results.

I would also like to hardcode one extra item to the drop downlist.

Is it possible to mix data sources with a dropdown list?

Yes, Set 'AppendDataBoundItems" to true. Then, in the code behind, add your "item". You will now see your item + the items from the database
