expert: I want to preset  the AJAX CalendarExtender (calendar)  to a default date say 20 years ago when it first appears in webform. User will then pick desired date accordingly (ASP .NET webform C#).

You can specify the default date for the Calendar using SelectedDate Property. The calendar control initializes with the specified date.
