Hi when i typed the command at run \\server1 to coonect to my printers.
the vista machine gives a message \\server1
An attempt was made to logon, but the network logon service was not started.
so when i go to services.msc to start  netlogon it gives me a message
the netlogon service on local computer started and then stopped. some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs.
so can any one assist me to solve this problem.
Thanks

See http://www.experts-exchange.com/OS/Microsoft_Operating_Systems/Windows/XP/Q_23934246.html

It seems netlogon won't start before the machine is joined to a domain.
