Hi,

I have a feed that I upload to amazon.fr through an excel 2003 file with an add in that allows me to upload the data directly from the file.

All of the charachters / accents look absolutley fine my end but when they get to Amazon.fr
à displays as à and  é displays as © and so on.

When somebody does teh sam eoperation from Amazon France on French version of excel this does not happen and the charachters display correctly!

I have tried:

-- pasting the data in to excel as special and choosing unicode.
-- changing to various fonts, including Arial Uncode MS

But the problem persists, anybodyhave any idea how I can solve this?

Thanks

I don't know if you can solve this by changing the language/codepage or something else on system level - maybe another expert has a solution for this.

But you can exchange the letters before output the data to the excel-file. I use this before uploading data into an oracle database, because another codepage is used there.

I wrote a little wrapper function for parsing all textfields, but only at base of a 255 character table (not unicode). This slows down the transfer/query, but it is the only solution I know.

If you do not find a better/faster way to solve this, I can post you my functions.

Thanks I Solved this by uploading directly from a .txt file rather than using the interface supplied by Amazon. I
