Queue Viwer issue

Hi

Here the error message I'm getting:

MMC cannot open the file E:\Microsoft Exchange\bin\Exchange Queue Viewer.msc

This may be because the file does not exist, is not an MMC console, or was
created by a later version of MMC. This may also be because you do not have
sufficient access rights to the file

First, check to see if the file IS present under E:\Microsoft Exchange\bin\ folder. If you are getting the error message on the Exchange Server itself, then try launching a different Exchange 2007 MMC file. If that works, then you can rule out the MMC 3.0

I would also copy a known working version of Exchange Queue Viewer.msc file from a test install.

Hi Raj,

That file is exist in bin folder, when i ran this is giving same error.
today morning is working fine and there are no change but facing problem.

please rectify.

Are you able to use other Exchange MSCs like Exchange Management Console? If you can, chances are the Queue Viewer MMC might have become corrupt.

Just copy the Exchange Queue Viewer.msc from a different Exchange server (or do a test install on a virtual machine) and it should work.

HI Raj,

I have check through exchange management shell then its working fine.
I think queue viwere msc file has been corupt . please tell me how to repair.

Like I said before, it would be easier to copy the Queue Viewer.msc file from a test install. I am afraid I don't have access to Exchange 2007 where I am.

Looks like this is a common occurrence (http://blog.bksanders.com/index.php/2008/11/exchange-2007-corrupt-mmc-queue-viewer/)

As suggested, delete C:\Documents and Settings\{yourusername}\Application Data\Microsoft\MMC\Exchange Queue Viewer and try launching it again.

I have tried deleting Exchange Queue Viewer from MMC but failed to solve the issue.

Just delete %appdata%\Microsoft\MMC\Exchange Queue Viewer file and try launcing it again.
