Accessing pop mail from local network
Hi,
I have a member of staff that accesses his mail from our SBS server via pop3 from his laptop. When he comes into the office his outlook cannot connect to the server.
I have set up a forward lookup DNS record and when he is in the office, pinging mail.ourdomain.com from his laptop does resolve to the exchange server 192.168.1.x
I cannot understand why exchange will not allow the connection when the request comes from the local network. Any help would be great!
Thanks, Jerry.

HI Jerry,
Start->Programs->Microsoft Exchange-> System Manager ->Servers -> Protocols -> POP3 ->Default POP3.. Right Click - Properties - What IP is on it - normally keep it all unassigned for both interface access.
