putting a fading color on a web page

I would want to put a fading color on a page of a website i am developing. it starts with dark blue on the left and fades in light blue on the tight.

Surely i don't know how to achive this.

Hi,

Try this css.

body {
  font: 13pt arial;
  color: white;
  filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Gradient (GradientType=0, StartColorStr='#000000', EndColorStr='#0000FF')
}

the works but it complains that filter is not a known CSS property name. it seems to have affected the font.
