I am installing BrightStor 11.5sp3 on both nodes of a new SQL Server 2008 MSCS cluster. The nodes themselves are running Win2k3 R2 Enterprise x64, if it makes a difference at all. Installation completes just fine. But when I enter in all the SQL instance information, I get a popup message stating &quot;failed to create registry for SQL instance&quot;. I cannot find anything in any logs to give any more info. I've tried using SQL authentication, Windows authentication, the domain account the SQL cluster services run under, a God-mode domain admin account we have, etc. Nothing works.<br />

Has anyone else seen this message before? Is this (hopefully not) an issue with BrightStor and SQL Server 2008 in general, regardless of clustering, etc? Thanks!<br />

BrightStor 11.5sp3 for SQL 2008 cluster failed to create registry
