Why 2 remainder for each calender appointment when time is up?

This is using MS Outlook 2003. For each appointment that I made in my Calender, there are 2 remainders when the time is almost up. Can I set it to one? and how?

Should be one reminder for each appointment unless you are using Recurring Appointments then there will be a reminder for each recurrence.

If you sure the two reminders are for the same appointment:
Check that you have sp3 installed:

The close Outlook and Open By Using
Start>Run>Outlook.exe /cleanreminders

This will clean and regenerate your reminders

Sorry, make a mistake; it is using Outlook 2007.

In that case, the above still applies. However, have updated the SP for you.

Should be one reminder for each appointment unless you are using Recurring Appointments then there will be a reminder for each recurrence.

If your sure the two reminders are for the same appointment:
Check that you have Office 2007 SP2 installed:

Then close Outlook and Open By Using
Start>Run>Outlook.exe /cleanreminders

This will clean and regenerate your reminders
