Can a portal tab be inserted within a portal tab??

We've got some exapmles of a report that appears to have a report with tabs to show individual reports on each page.  Is there a way to do this, or is this something they cooked up??

There are a couple of ways of doing it; the most effective one uses a series of HTML <div> sections combined with javascript that makes the different sections invisible or visble when the user clicks on part of the screen.  I think there was an example of this in one of the SupportLink articles, but I can't find it at the moment.  You have to be careful with javascript in Cognos though; the way in which the Cognos objects are exposed isn't documented, and is subject to change; many reports stopped working when people upgraded to 8.3.  Having said that, they're slowly wising up to the realities and being a bit better about supporting it.

this has a link to making a tabbed report.  BUT all thru the document there are warnings about parts not documented or not supported.  So use with caution:
