The page that I have a report viewer control on is throwing the following error:
An error occurred during local report processing.
The definition of the report 'Main Report' is invalid.
The report definition is not valid. Details: Data at the root level is invalid. Line 1, position 1.

But only after it is published, when I run it on my local machine it is fine

make sure the iis settings are set to use the correct version of .net framework.

Also put the full screen shot of your error page.
and which .net framework are you using in your development?

I ended up copying the files from my local machine file system directly to the IIS file system and it worked correctly.  I'll have to see if I can re-create the errors again
