good inexpensive directory software

I am looking for a good inexpensive progrgamme/software that i can use to build a community resources website.

it has to be searchable - easy to administer and cheap.

Any ideas most welcome.

have you looked into DotNetNuke? http://www.dotnetnuke.com itsopen source and free. I'm sure there are modules for it that would do what you want.

looking for something off the shelf - ready to go - nothing here seems to do it ;-(
