Is anyone aware if acronis home 2009 works on windows 7?

No it's not.  I just downloaded the latest version of Acronis Home 2009 trial version from their website and it didn't work for me.  Also looking on line it doesn't look like they've made it compatible yet.

Thanks for the info but i decided to take the risk anyway and install the rc, i probably should of mentioned which rc i was planning on installing because build 7100 does allow acronis 2009 to install.  Although im having a little trouble mounting the image.

More likely it's because I'm running the 64bit version. Glad it's working for you.
