I am attempting to set up a Trixbox/Asterisk PBX at my residence. &nbsp; I have downloaded the software from Tribox. &nbsp;I've built the box and loaded the ISO which installed without a problem. &nbsp;After switching my ISP from Vonage to Broadvoice (Vonage told me Vonage &nbsp;wasn't compatable with Tribox--which I don't believe; Broadvoice told me &quot;of course we're compatable and we even offer a Tribox download from our website&quot;). <br />
I've configured the passwords and connected to the web gui. &nbsp;Now, I'm in over my head and need help configuring Asterisk.<br />
I'm trying to find any kind of fee-based on-site support &nbsp;from a company servicing the Southern California areaa or from a local technician that is familiar with this software. &nbsp; Since I have never worked with either Linux or Unix, configuring this beast is well beyond the scope of my ability. &nbsp;I have all the hardware and just need to have it configured.<br />

Need help with Trixbox/Asterisk

IP telephony (Internet Protocol telephony) is a general term for the technologies that use the Internet Protocol's packet-switched connections to exchange voice, fax, and other forms of information that have traditionally been carried over the dedicated circuit-switched connections of the public switched telephone network (PSTN). Using the Internet, calls travel as packets of data on shared lines, avoiding the tolls of the PSTN. The challenge in IP telephony is to deliver the voice, fax, or video packets in a dependable flow to the user.
