On the Gateway support site, I took a look at this pdf file:

http://support.gateway.com/s/Manuals/Mobile/8512936.pdf
Notebook Reference Guid

In chapter 7, under the section "Recovering your system to its factory condition", there are the instructions you need to follow.

When booting have you tried Ctrl + F11? Most factory computers have a hidden partition of the factory image.

Thank You all so much. The f8 key is what  I was looking for. I was at the Gateway site under the service tab. I'll try the repair and keep you all posted.  Thank You
