I am brand new to Adobe Premiere Elements and just bought a new laptop with MS Vista so I could install Adobe Premiere Elements 7.0.  This is my first time using Vista, too.I imports several clips from a SONY camcorder.  The video is fine, but i have no audio.  If I preview the same .avi files in Windows Movie Maker, the sound is loud and clear.  What do I need to do to get sound in Adobe Premiere Elements?  I am creating a video for a job interview and your help would be greatly appreciated!

The audio is  may be in a format that Premier doesn't recognize.
Check that premier supports the audio.
Make sure you have the latest patches for Adobe and the latest version
Keep everything up to date in Vista
Adobe should provide all the codecs you need in their software so it may lay in other areas.
Gspot Establishes what video and audio codecs were used on the video and if you have the codecs required to play it installed
