Actionscript for on hover and horizontal movement of mouse

Hi Experts,

In the attached image, the top navigation bar has a movieclip with 4 buttons with their respective states(Link1, Link 2,Link 3...).

At the bottom of the page(let me call it as thumbnail bar here), there are 4 images(going to be buttons).

On hovering of button in top navigation bar, the corresponding image from the thumbnail bar turns into a gray scale and with a mouse out of the top navigation link(Link 2 here), the same image from the thumbnail bar turns colored.


Both the bars(top navigation bar and thumbnail bar) moves towards left and right based on movement of mouse horizontally.

Most Important: As mouse hovers on and out of top links, the corresponding change is encountered by the bottom bar. All this is enclosed in a place ehre the horizontal movement is controlled by mouse.

I am tired of googling and with short of time need help in getting the following scripts
a. left and right movement fot the entire movie clip
b. the change of greyscale to color of thumbnail in thumbnail bar on hover of "Link" button on top.
