Supress or set visibility in crystal report 8.5

Dear Experts,
I created a report with many fields on crystal report 8.5. I need some of the fields not to be displayed on the report when certain conditions are not met. (eg. I have fields to display number of items ordered, name of items and price for that item). However, if the user didn't order that particular item, i don't want this field to be displayed on the report. Is there a way to do it? Thanks for the help experts

Yes, i have all the information on the detail section. It is listed vertically. I got the suppress thing right and now the problem is, if i suppress one of the items which is number 2 or 3 in the list, then there will be gaps in between before the next item is displayed. How to get rid of those gaps? there's no (No-Drill down) option to use is there? thx mlmcc
