PIL for 64bit Windows

Where can I find PIL (Python Image Library) for Windows x64?

I am running Windows Server 2008 x64 and ActivePython 2.6. I am a .NET developer and only have limited knowledge of Python. I am using Python for TileCache and need PIL to use the MetaTile fuctionality.

It seems that there is no binary for 64bit Windows, yet. I do recommend to ask in "image-sig@python.org" mailing list or search its archive. You can find some attempts to compile PIL for 64bit and some problems that were observed, for example http://www.mail-archive.com/image-sig@python.org/msg02353.html

I have already spent a lot of time searching. This link is one of the most comprehensive, but I am not confident is trying to compile it myself.
