Error while upgrading domain from weblogic 8.1 to 9.1

When we run upgrade script that iam not able to instantiate the wizard to upgrade the domain. I am getting following error.
Unable to instantiate GUI, defaulting to console mode.
<May 07, 2009 1:25:40 AM CDT> <FATAL> <Upgrade> <BEA-800000> <Uncaught Exception>
java.lang.ClassCastException: com.bea.plateng.wizard.plaf.basic.gui.BasicGUITaskPanel
at com.bea.plateng.wizard.WizardController.run(WizardController.java:587)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:595)

A fatal error has occured. This application will terminate.

Can any body help to resolve this issue

This suggest running the wizard in silent mode as it is having trouble with the GUI:
