Exchagne 2007 and DTAM From Double Take.

I am going to be setting up DTAM for Exchagne 2007. Do the same rules apply for doing DR?
The 2nd exchagne server will be in a different state and my questions are:
1- Does it have to be in the same Active Directory Site
2- I assume then it needs it's own DC and GC.
Or with DTAM does it matter? Can it be a 2nd server in a different site?

With DTAM you can have servers in different sites and work.
But wait a minute with Exchange 2007 SP1 you can enable SCR and work with the Exchange replication service and also use "Database Portability and Site resilency".
You would just have to have a Exchange installed on the Passive site.

Well, DTAM has already been purchased.  So, I am fine with just a 2nd exchange server in another site and that is it?
The other issue is there is only 1 server, so SCR would not work if I understand it correctly.  I would have to have a dedicated mbx server.
