I have the same problem as described in http://www.experts-exchange.com/Microsoft/Development/Visual_Studio_Express/Q_22539167.html?sfQueryTermInfo=1+0xc0000005+10+interdev The recommended solution did not work.  I have been using interdev 6.0 for years and then one day it just wouldn't open.  I get the same exception error as the reference above.  I assume it is something in a Microsoft update that is causing the problem but haven't a clue on how to find it.

I have VS 60 (interdev and VB6) on both xp pro and Vista Ultimate and both installs are working just fine. Auto Update allowed on both pc's, so I am not convinced it is a MS update. If you are not running SP6 I would install that, otherwise I would suggest, uninstall and reinstall fresh.

I running SP6 on XP pro.  I've uninstalled and then reinstalled Interdev and it still will not start.  I get the message "Development Environment has encountered a problem and needs to close."    The associated report says:
Error Signature
AppName: devenv.exe
AppVer: 6.1.81.67
ModName: unknown
ModVer: 0.0.0.0
Offset: 00303035

I turned off auto update a long time ago and just update selected items.  However, I did install Visual Studio 5 and Web Developer 2008 Express a few months ago but Interdev worked fine until last week.

After checking all the solutions recommended and most of ones on other sites, I gave up without solving the problem.
However, I finally found a solution that worked, although I do not recommend it!  I cleaned my hard drive, reinstalled Windows, reinstalled Interdev 6 and it worked!!
Not very satisfactory but there was nothing else that I could do.

Had the same issue - solved it purely by chance - a similar thread suggested taking a look at the file C:/Windows/mdm.ini - I took a look and my file had two entries for Dynamic Debugging and a long list of PIDs to ignore - deleted the duplicate and cleared the list of PIDs and hey presto - all is well - probably too late for you but might stop some other poor soul from tearing their hair out
