I do not know what to say. &nbsp;It seems the same files wound up in the new inbox.dbx. &nbsp;I do not know why that would fix anything unless some of the old messages did not make it and the same end result as compacting was accomplished. &nbsp;Consider compacting in the future. &nbsp;Or deleting unnecessary messages and or grouping them into new .dbx folders.

I have a client that is using OE 6. When we view the contents a message in her inbox, it shows the contents of a different message that is in her inbox. This only occured on 2 messages today - they are unrelated. AntiVirus (nod32) is up to date.

Wrong content in Outlook Express

Windows Live Mail is the successor to Outlook Express, a discontinued email and news client bundled with several versions of Microsoft Windows, from Windows 98 to Windows Server 2003, and available for Windows 95 and Mac OS 9. In Windows Vista, Outlook Express was superseded by Windows Mail, then again by Windows Live Mail as separate software. Outlook Express is a different application from Microsoft Outlook. Beginning with Windows Vista Microsoft included Windows Mail, based on large parts of Outlook Express source code.
