cfslider problem.

I'm trying to use CFSLIDER on CF 7 and all I'm getting is a box with a gray border and an image with an "X" inside the border.  I'm assuming the java class or something isn't being recognized but I'm not sure.  Any ideas?

from CFML Reference for <CFSLIDER>:

"This tag requires the client to download a Java applet. [...] Also, if the client does not have an up-to-date Java plugin installed, the system might also have to download an updated Java plugin to display the tag.
For this tag to work properly, the browser must be JavaScript-enabled."

i must confess, i have never used <cfslider> tag myself... with so many javascript-based sliders in all imaginable forms and styles, i really do not see any use for a java applet-based slider...

check out jQuery UI slider: http://jqueryui.com/demos/slider/
(tip: try the little gray "Theme" selector at top right of the page to style the slider examples to your liking)

PS: is this a problem specific to just <cfslider> tag? do any other cf applet-based controls work in your browser (i.e. <cfgrid>)? did you test it in other browsers?
