The dss receiver just undoes the frequency shifting that the transmitter causes.

where the heck do you get these notes? I would think that "dispreading" would be spelled "despreading".

They are my lecture notes... my lecturer would not be please to here that :)

There are just some things I am unsure of

What is the oscillosator used for in the transmitter?

In the reciever,
Why is the PN code generator added? Should the signal not be removed since it is reversed?
What does the synchonisation system synchronise with?

it supplies the basic frequency for the transmitter

it supplies the signal used to despread the received signal

The sychonization puts the receiver changes into step with the transmitter changes
