Cam Studio swf or avi for editing

I am using Cam Studio for the first time to demo a piece of software.  The plan is to go back later, add in the relevant mouse movements, overlay some audio, and do some markups.   Is it safe to tell Cam Studio to automate the creation of the swf or should I save the avi first before converting?

You should create an AVI file first and then export the SWF...  You will need the AVI when you want to edit the file later on...  The SWF file is not really editable format...
