hi, I am looking at purchasing a sbs08 std server and need to run 3 remote users using terminal server.
I am only running a small access database. nothing memory hungry. I can't find any thing online to help me answer my question.
I believe with sbs03 you had a limit of 2 TS users.
Is there a limit with sbs08 std or can i buy TS CALs for it to increase the numbers.
thanks

You cannot run Terminal Services on an SBS 2003 or 2008 Server.  You have 2 administrative connections and that is all.  It's unwise to allow it since your users inadvertantly could cause the system to be infected with something or accidentally delete something they shouldn't.  Put simply, its a REALLY BAD IDEA.

If you want to run Terminal Services in an SBS DOMAIN, then you can ADD another server - physical or virtual - and then use that.  If you purchase SBS 2008 PREMIUM, it comes with a second server license you can use for this purpose.  You would still need to buy Terminal Services CALs for it though.
