Dell Inspiron 1501 and Slow Text Appearance

Hello, well today i formatted my dell inspiron 1501 and after installing all the necessary drivers i realized that whatever i type it appears slow on screen,no matter where. So i increased the page file value in virtual memory settings which resolved my issue for sometime ,but again it started appearing slow.I thought that it might be a virus or some script,so i formatted again and than after doing small research i found that if i uninstall ATI Catalyst driver ,it works normally but if i am using ATI.It starts happening again. Please guide me to resolve this issue.Thank you.

Hi,

Sounds like video card driver issues. Get the latest drives for your card from ATI's http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.HTML web site. Also get the latest drivers for you computer from dell's web site http://support.dell.com

Cheers,
Perry

I had the same problem.  I followed those instructions.  The slow typing is resolved.  HOWEVER, the display looks like it is in safe mode or something!  I do not know what to do to get a nice screen resolution again.  Does anyone know what i should do?
