How can I make the combo box shows as currency
I am using Combo box to display 7 level of prices but after you select the dollar amount the cell will only show as number without dollar sign. I've tried to format the cell as currency or accounting before I link the combo box did not work. I also tried to use currency in my name list but still won't work, it will display currency sign when it shows as a list but as soon as you made the selection the currency sign disappeared. Any solution for this?

I am using the combo box from the tool box not validation, it works when I use validation but not works when I change it to the Combo box from the tool bar.
I'm afraid you convert it to string and format is as currency for each line in the combo...

Can you give more detail of your solution? or provide a simple example?

Is there any reason I can't check the porperty of your combo box?? I notice your box was called Drop Down 1, did you create the box in other method or because I am viewing your file by 2003 excel?? Sorry, I was not advanced as you are .
this is Excel 2007
I've just drag&drop the combo from FORMS not ActiveX, filled some cells, formatted them and set combo to reference to them.

In my case I don't think I can use combo box from FORM. I have cell in other sheet that will link to the value to the linked cell. I notice when you use combo box from form the value returned in the linked cell not equal to the data that shows in the drop down list. If I choose the 2nd one from the list the value in the link cell will display 2 instead of the choice I made. However I do appreciate that you show me an other way to make combo box. Any other suggestion?

Form / DropDown List?
If former is the case just format range and list cell(s) as currency. Should work...
if latter is the case you should set value properly formated - it is just a string.
