Run time error '429'

I'm trying to run Kelly's Korner TaskbarRepairTool (http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/taskbarplus!.htm) to fix a jammed taskbar, something that I've used it before on other computers sucessfully.

I keep on getting a "Run-time error '429'
ActiveX component can't create object" when trying to run the program.

I've tried installing Visual Basic 6.0 SP4 Run-Time Files from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q235420/. I've reinstalled all .Net, run a spyware scan, and run sfc /scannow as well. No cigar. :-(

I have two objectives:
- Fix this arcane error and use the program to fix the jammed taskbar, or
- Fix the taskbar and let the error message live happily ever after.

Any help would be appreciated.

Also, open Dial-a-fix (http://wiki.lunarsoft.net/wiki/Dial-a-fix#Mirrors.2Fdownload_locations.2C_and_articles), click all checkboxes under the "Registration center" section and click "GO".

What does Dial-a-fix do? And what's with the Registration center?

By the way, your first link worked, so I'm going to give you the solution points.

Thanks!

Did you try to use VBS file from this site:
_http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/xp_taskbar_desktop_fixall.vbs
?
Try to run it form command promt:
cscript xp_taskbar_desktop_fixall.vbs

I downloaded the VBS script from the first link you gave, and it fixed the issue. Thank you for your help.
