Does anyone know a third party company to monitor VPN connection uptime?

Does anyone know websites like Hyperspin, SiteUptime etc that have the capability to monitor a VPN connection?

We connect to an external VPN endpoint and frequently we cannot reach it or it is down or the connection fails.
The external company says there's nothing wrong at their site.
So I want to use a third party service like hyperspin or siteuptime to monitor this VPN endpoint.
This way we can prove that there is a problem by presenting them with a third party report.

The only problem with the ones I use already is that they only monitor standaard webservices like http ftp etc.

Any idea if there is a service where I can monitor the VPN endpoint?

One is definately (non-third Party) CiscoWorks VPN/Security Management Solution (VMS). It enables you to increase service availability by isolating, analyzing, and troubleshooting significant events in your network as they occur.

If it's a managed switch, does it support NetFlow?  If it does not support NetFlow, the setup a port mirror on the port that goes to the VPN box.

With NetFlow or a port mirror you can get NTOP (http://www.ntop.org/) and monitor all of the traffic.

we want to monitor an external VPN concentrator that we do NOT manage.

Thus we want to monitor THEIR connection to see how often it fails.

(Just like if you where monitoring your website uptime)
