Hello Everyone,
I came across a weird issue with session, whille working continously on my site;
session gets terminated and user is logged out from the site, it is a very random behaviour on any random event;
Can an Exception cause session to expire?
Can anyone guide me what can be possible causes of session getting terminated?

I appreciate for your help. looking forward to suggestions.

read these lines there:
"We eventually found that there is a limitation/feature of Internet Explorerthat discards *ALL* cookies for the one domain (ergo, our application)if the number exceeds 20 ... that includes the cookie that maintainsthe session for the browser.

We've since moved to using alternate methods of storing values that we need to store that avoid cookie usage altogether.

And yes, the session is kept in a non persistent cookie so you won'tsee it. We had to devise a small cookie display window in asp.net todisplay all the cookies the application had going."

In our experience, one most obviously not looked for reason in such case is Anti-Virus programs those are running on the web server. Many of the anti-virus applications tend to have real-time monitoring of files and as soon as website files and/or web.config file is accessed they try to other check files in the same folder, and leave an updated accessed/modified date stamp on it. This causes the web application to restart itself which ultimately causes sessions to terminate unexpectedly many times.
Try placing web.config or the folder containing it within the exceptions of the anti-virus application and see if it improves the situation.
