Hi

My backup has stopped working. It doenst' even start and gives the error message, "the requested media cannot be mounted". Sure enough when I checked for the tape drive under removable storage media- Library , the tape drive was not even listed in their. Under device manager the tape drive is listed though. I checked the services for RSM they are all up and running. I have upgraded Scsi firmware, tape firmware, tape drive driver, and flashed bios. It still is not listed.

Any pointers what could have gone wrong..

Please this is an urgent issue, thanks for your all your help guys.

Hi,

What kind of tape drive are you using? Have you tried compleaty uninstalling the drive, restarting and reinstalling it? Also what backup software are you using?

Cheers,
