Powerpoint viewer not displaying correct animation

I have created an animation in powerpoint 2007 in which I have drawn a diamond shape. I have added a flicker emphasis animation to this diamond, for which the colour is set to white. When I view the animation it works fine. When I output a powerpoint show and view that in powerpoint it works fine. Then, when I try to use the same ppsx in powerpoint viewer, the flicker comes out as black!

Why is this?

Anyone know how I can put it right?

Try downloading and reinstalling the latest version of the PPT 2007 viewer: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/powerpoint/HA100966951033.aspx
Having said that, there are some limitations with animations in the viewer, see:

But I haven't heard of this specific one.
